演講主題：資訊揭露的利與弊: 從員工角度來探討

 

講題摘要：

臺大計量中心執行教育部與科技部「高教深耕特色領域中心」專案計畫「國家整體發展的數據分析與評估」，以下包含4個子計畫、23個孫計畫，本次成果講座為子計畫二之孫計畫二「新創事業評價與實證分析」之研究成果，主題為「資訊揭露的利與弊: 從員工角度來探討」，主講人為「張景宏 / 臺大財務金融學系副教授」，演講綱要：We find that organized labor improves the information quality of firms. The causal evidence is established using a regression discontinuity design that relies on exogenous variation generated by close-call elections for union representation. This is consistent with the hypothesis that information sharing is appreciated by both the manager and employees who cannot dissociate their human capital from the employer. The effect is stronger when incentives for information sharing is stronger, greater information asymmetry exists, and threat from potential bargaining is more credible. Evidence also suggests that organized labor acts as a substitute for traditional governance mechanisms in shaping a firm’s information environment.
